Rockets' James Harden: Notches 15th triple-double in loss to Heat
Harden tallied 38 points (10-21 FG, 4-10 3pt, 14-16 FT), 12 assists, 12 rebounds and a block over 41 minutes in Wednesday's 117-109 loss to the Heat.
Analysis:
Fans in Toyota Center are chanting 'MVP' loud and often, and there's no question that Harden is in that conversation. Despite this disappointing loss, The Beard continued his torrid pace of video game-like numbers and put up his 15th triple-double of the season. It's no secret that the offensive juggernaut is not as dynamic on the defensive end and Dion Waiters took advantage, scoring 23 points in the matchup. Harden and the Rockets had no answer for the Heat Wednesday and sorely missed defensive standout Patrick Beverley after he sustained a groin injury in the second quarter. Harden's valiant effort won't bear any fruit when you can't stop a team that's won 13 of their last 15 games. Harden will rest a few days and then head to New Orleans, where he will start at shooting guard for the Western Conference.
