Before he donned the colors of the Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder, or Seattle SuperSonics, Kevin Durant wore Texas Longhorn orange and white.
And it was on this very day 10 years ago - Jan. 31, 2007 - that a freshman Durant dropped 37 points and 23 rebounds on Texas Tech, leading his Longhorns to victory in the best performance of his collegiate career.
Texas isn't playing on the 10-year anniversary of Durant's epic game, but will face Texas Tech on Wednesday.
Durant has maintained a close relationship with his former basketball program since turning pro at the end of his freshman campaign.
