Rockets' Patrick Beverley: No longer listed on injury report
Beverley (thigh) is no longer listed on the Rockets' injury report and will play Friday against the Clippers, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis:
Beverley was held out of Tuesday's win over the Mavericks because of a bruised thigh, but after being reevaluated Thursday, the Rockets determined he was fit to play Friday. Look for Beverley to step back into his usual 30-plus-minute role in the starting lineup, with his return resulting in Corey Brewer moving back to the bench. Beverley has provided a big spark for the Rockets since entering the lineup after an 11-game absence to begin the season due to knee surgery, averaging 8.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.6 three-pointers and 1.5 steals in 30.6 minutes per game on the season.
