Isaiah Thomas was ejected late in Sunday night's game for elbowing Miami Heat small forward Justise Winslow square in the face.
The Boston Celtics point guard was assessed a flagrant-2 foul for unnecessary and excessive contact to the sophomore swingman's noggin. It was reduced two days later to a flagrant 1.
Winslow, who was bleeding under his right eye as a result of the hit, missed the two corresponding free throws.
Thomas finished with a team-high 23 points to go along with four assists in 28 minutes as Boston emerged with the 105-95 victory.
