Raptors' Delon Wright: To meet with specialist next week

Wright (shoulder) is scheduled to meet with a specialist next week, at which point he hopes to be cleared for contact, Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports.

Analysis:

Wright remains hopeful that he'll be able to return sometime in early January, but he's yet to be granted permission to practice at full speed, though he continues to do just about everything else. If he's cleared by the specialist, the expectation is that Wright will ramp up his workload over the next few weeks in preparation for a potential return to the Raptors. Prior to that, however, Wright will likely play a handful of rehab games in the D-League with Raptors 905.
