It was a battle of The Stifle Tower and the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year on Monday night at the Target Center, and on this particular play, it was defense reigning supreme over offense at the rim.

With Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns looking to take Boris Diaw off the dribble and attack the rim, 7-foot-1 Frenchman Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz leaped in and sent Towns' baseline floater flying in the opposite direction with a huge block.

Cheers to all of the wars these two rising stars will have around the basket in the years to come.
