Point guard D'Angelo Russell will miss the Los Angeles Lakers' next two games as he battles knee soreness, according to ESPN's Baxter Holmes.

Russell played just 23 minutes Sunday after missing the previous contest with the same injury.

The 20-year-old has fared well during his sophomore campaign, averaging 16.1 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.4 rebounds, while posting a player efficiency rating of 17.50.

Jose Calderon - who started Friday's contest - could make his return to the starting unit with Russell out.
