Heat's James Johnson: Scores 17 off bench Saturday
Johnson scored 17 points (7-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-3 FT) while adding three rebounds, two blocks, an assist and a steal in 27 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 114-111 win over the Wizards.
Analysis:
He's now topped 25 minutes in each of the last three games and five of the last seven. He's usually not consistent enough to be a reliable fantasy asset -- Johnson's been alternating single-digit and double-digit scoring performances for most of November so far -- but the Heat lack a reliable scoring option off the bench, so don't be surprised if his court time continues to rise as coach Erik Spoelstra looks for someone to anchor his second unit.
