Mavericks' Quincy Acy: Takes five stitches Monday

Acy needed five stitches above his right eye after taking a shot to the face in Monday's game against the Knicks, Mavs' play-by-play announcer Chuck Cooperstein reports.

Analysis:

Acy ended up playing two minutes against the Knicks, although he was only averaging a hair over nine minutes per game coming into Monday. Dallas faces Boston on Wednesday and it's still not clear whether or not the veteran will be cleared in time to make an appearance.
