The airline responded in an effort to help:
@BillWalton Bill, we apologize for the inconvenience. Can you send us more details in a PM?

@HawaiianAir I waited at the Maui airport yesterday for five hours and my bike never showed up. No one could tell me where it is.

@BillWalton Can you send us your email and confirmation code in a PM?

Frustrated, Walton tweeted back this nugget of gold:
@HawaiianAir Why, are you going to email my bike?
— Bill Walton (@BillWalton) November 14, 2016
From there, he complained to others about the airline's service:
@cgamundson_chad @lancearmstrong @HawaiianAir Yes!! Getting no help from Hawaiian Air!!

The 64-year-old also reiterated the importance of his bicycle:
@hokiekyle64 My bike is my life

Now that he has his "life" back, he's taking it to a volcano. Ah, retirement.
