Pacers' Stuckey to miss 'several weeks' with right hamstring strain
Indiana Pacers guard Rodney Stuckey will miss several weeks with a right hamstring strain, head coach Nate McMillan announced Tuesday.
Stuckey sustained the injury during the first quarter of Friday's matchup against the Brooklyn Nets, and was forced to undergo an MRI on Monday to assess the extent of the damage.
The 30-year-old veteran played solid in limited action for Indiana to start the season, averaging 4.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in just 13.0 minutes per game.
The 6-foot-5 guard was a key part of Indiana's rotation in 2015-16, averaging 8.9 points and 2.7 rebounds on 41.3 percent shooting.
With Stuckey out, swingman C.J. Miles will likely see an uptick in his minutes over the next few weeks.
After making several noteworthy moves this offseason, the Pacers have stumbled out of the gate, dropping two of their first three contests.
