Mutombo's No. 55 retired by Nuggets
Dikembe Mutombo began his NBA career with the Denver Nuggets in 1991, and on Saturday night the franchise became the second team to retire his number (the Atlanta Hawks did so last season).

After introducing the big man by his true name - Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo - the Nuggets presented the NBA's second all-time leading shot blocker with a portrait of his biggest moment in Denver.
The painting captures his reaction after the Nuggets shocked the No. 1 seed Seattle SuperSonics in the first round of the 1994 playoffs - the first time a No. 8 seed had pulled off that sort of upset.
Then, Mutombo's No. 55 was raised to the rafters of the Pepsi Center.
