Former NBA commissioner David Stern was an important player in keeping the Kings in Sacramento, and he was in attendance Thursday night when the team opened its new arena - Golden 1 Center. He received a standing ovation.
The love for Stern in NoCal is real. The street outside Golden 1 Center was even renamed David J. Stern Walk.
