Hornets' Brian Roberts: Expected back for opener

Roberts (hamstring) will be available for Wednesday's season opener against the Hornets, barring a setback, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.

Analysis:

A sore left hamstring limited Roberts for much of training camp and the preseason, but coach Steve Clifford said Tuesday that the injury now seems to be behind the point guard. Unless the Hornets indicate otherwise following Wednesday's morning shootaround, expect Roberts to be active for the opener, though he likely won't see the court unless the game becomes non-competitive.
