Bulls' Michael Carter-Williams: Modest showing Bulls debut

Carter-Williams made his Bulls debut in Chicago's 97-81 preseason loss to the Hawks on Thursday, tallying four points (1-5 FG, 2-2 FT), three assists, a rebound and a block over 21 minutes.

Analysis:

Carter-Williams arrived last Monday in a trade with the Bucks, so Thursday's outing was his first opportunity to take the floor with his new teammates. The 25-year-old will slot behind Rajon Rondo at the point and should see his minutes progressively rise as the regular season unfolds and he acclimates to the Bulls system. While he provides plenty of upside, Carter-Williams may see his minutes somewhat capped initially, given Rondo's ability to take on a heavy workload.
