The Denver Nuggets announced Saturday they've waived wings JaKarr Sampson and Axel Toupane.
Sampson signed with Denver in February and recorded 5.2 points and 2.3 rebounds in 18 minutes over 26 games (22 starts) in 2015-16.
Toupane joined the franchise in March, averaging 3.6 points and 1.5 rebounds in 14.5 minutes over 21 games last season.
The Nuggets also waived D.J. Kennedy, who inked a training-camp deal with them during the offseason and appeared in one preseason contest.
Seventeen players remain on Denver's roster, meaning the team must make two more cuts before opening night.
