Derrick Rose said in court Tuesday that he anticipated rape allegations from his ex-girlfriend after an alleged sexual assault in August 2013.

"It looked like a setup," Rose testified Tuesday. "It turned out to be what I thought."

It was the second day in a row that Rose was asked to testify in a $21.5 million lawsuit for claims that he and his friends had sex without the woman's consent while she was incapacitated.

The incident occurred in August 2013, with the woman claiming Rose entered her apartment while she was blacked out from drinking and had sex with her.

Rose noted how he believed she was sober at the time, pointing out how he received text messages from her later that day. He was also texted earlier in the morning saying that she was "horny," and that their past interactions gave him the impression that she wanted to have intercourse.

Rose's lawyers recently asked Los Angeles U.S. District Court Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald for a mistrial because several text messages were not brought to their attention until Friday, and are all vital to the case.

Should that happen, a new trial would be pushed into the 2016-17 NBA regular season.
