Wade: Trump's tweet 'left a bad taste in my mouth'
While Dwyane Wade appreciates that Donald Trump's tweet about Wade's murdered cousin "started a conversation," he's less impressed with the motive behind it.
The U.S. presidential candidate created a stir last week when he used the death of Nykea Aldridge to promote his campaign on Twitter. Wade said Thursday that the tweet made him feel "conflicted," and he'd prefer his family tragedy wasn't used for political gain.
Dwyane Wade's cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago. Just what I have been saying. African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP!

"I was grateful that it started a conversation but on the other hand, it just left a bad taste in my mouth because of what my family is dealing with and what our city of Chicago is dealing with and it looks like it’s being used as political gain," Wade told ABC's George Stephanopoulos.

Trump offered his condolences in a second tweet later that day.
My condolences to Dwyane Wade and his family, on the loss of Nykea Aldridge. They are in my thoughts and prayers.

The Chicago Bulls shooting guard has been active on Twitter following his cousin's death, pleading for everyone to join in the fight for social change as Chicago continues to be plagued by gun violence.
