The basketball world was nearly treated to an all-time great posterization Tuesday night when Team USA squared off with China in exhibition action, but it wasn't meant to be.
DeMar DeRozan, a two-time All-Star for the Toronto Raptors, took flight for a 360-degree slam dunk late in the fourth quarter of the blowout game. Teammates on the sideline and fans at Oracle Arena were ready to explode, however the ball didn't fall through the cylinder, leaving everyone in the building disappointed.
While he wasn't there live, NBA champion LeBron James showed DeRozan some love for his crazy attempt:
Man if @DeMar_DeRozan would have made that dunk, would have been top 5 All Time! #USABMNT
