Hornets sign Mike Tobey

The Charlotte Hornets signed undrafted free-agent center Mike Tobey on Monday, the team announced.

Terms were not disclosed, although the deal almost certainly includes an invitation to training camp. The 7-footer played five games for the Hornets' Orlando Summer League squad.

Tobey played four years with Virginia, hitting 62.2 percent of his field-goal attempts last season.
