MEMPHIS - The Memphis Grizzlies waived guard Tony Wroten on Tuesday.
Memphis had claimed Wroten after he was waived by the New York Knicks in June. He had signed with the Knicks in March, but didn't practice or play with the team.
The 23-year-old was selected by the Grizzlies 25th overall in the 2012 NBA Draft. He's played in 145 NBA games - mostly with the Philadelphia 76ers.
