The defending NBA champions appear to be on the verge of landing The Birdman.
Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue told reporters Friday that the team is working on a deal to sign veteran center Chris Andersen, and hopes the contract can become official soon.
The deal would reunite Andersen and LeBron James, who were teammates for two seasons in Miami.
Andersen, who turned 38 on Thursday, split last season between the Heat and Memphis Grizzlies, averaging 3.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 0.5 blocks in 27 games.
