Report: Blazers meeting with Festus Ezeli
The Portland Trail Blazers will meet with free-agent center Festus Ezeli on Wednesday in Portland, sources told The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears.
Ezeli is currently a restricted free agent with the 73-win Golden State Warriors, but will reportedly be renounced by the team and become unrestricted to accommodate the signing of four-time scoring champion Kevin Durant.
He told CSNNW.com's Jason Quick that he likes the city and gained a lot of respect for the Trail Blazers during the NBA playoffs, but is still considering some other teams.
A potential deterrent for Portland in getting a deal done would be Ezeli's knees, as he's only suited up for 46 games each of the past two seasons. He also missed the entire 2013-14 campaign after undergoing surgery on his right knee.
He averaged seven points and 5.6 rebounds on 54.8 percent shooting last season.
