Pistons' Andre Drummond: Agrees to max deal with Pistons

Drummond agreed to a five-year, $130 million contract with the Pistons Friday, Marc Stein of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Drummond's max deal is well-earned after a very productive fourth season in the NBA where the big man averaged 16.2 points, 14.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game, and he is now averaging 13.2 points, 12.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks over his NBA career. The supremely athletic big man is just 22 years old and already dominating on both sides of the ball, and he will be the centerpiece of the Piston's franchise going forward. Drummond has also managed to stay healthy as of late, playing and starting in 244 of the team's 246 regular season games over the past three seasons.
