The Brooklyn Nets are reportedly planning to aggressively pursue free-agent guard Jeremy Lin.

The Nets "might hard-sell" Lin, sources told the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell, who previously noted there's less than a 50-50 chance the Harvard alumnus will don purple and teal come next season.

The 27-year-old has played for five different teams over his six NBA campaigns. He signed with the Charlotte Hornets last July, but after declining his $2.2-million player option for 2016-17, Lin's set to hit the open market.

Bonnell added that it appears the California native will sign a deal worth "at least $10 million" annually. It's a price the rebuilding Nets appear willing to pay in order to acquire a reliable point guard.

In 78 games with the Hornets, predominantly in a reserve role, Lin averaged 11.7 points on 41.2 percent shooting from the field and 33.6 percent from deep, plus 3.2 rebounds and three assists per contest.
