Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has offered his open lead assistant's position to Mike Brown, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Brown would replace Luke Walton, who is taking over the Los Angeles Lakers - a team, coincidentally, that previously employed Brown as a head coach. Brown was fired by the Lakers five games into the 2012-13 season.
Brown last coached in the NBA as bench boss of the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2013-14, his second tour of duty with the Cavs. He served as a consultant for the San Antonio Spurs last season.
