The Golden State Warriors selected Vanderbilt center Damian Jones with the 30th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.
Jones could be a potential replacement for Festus Ezeli, who is a restricted free agent heading into the offseason.
Jones is coming off a strong junior season, in which he thrived as a finisher and shot 59 percent from the field. He has all the physical tools to be a successful NBA big man, with tremendous length and bounce, and a propensity to play above the rim.
He may be held back by his offensive one-dimensionality. Jones doesn't stretch the floor, create for others, rebound well for his size, or hit a high percentage of his free throws. He'll likely need to rely on his athleticism to patch over the holes in his game.
