The Utah Jazz added a polished senior Thursday by selecting Weber State power forward Joel Bolomboy with the 52nd pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.
Bolomboy offers a well-rounded skill set that should translate seamlessly to the modern professional game. The do-it-all forward finishes reliably around the basket, can stretch it out to the 3-point line, and rebounds at an elite rate. He tops it off with an impressive 7-foot-2 wingspan and a 41-inch vertical.
The two factors holding back Bolomboy are his age (22) and the fact he played against subpar competition in the punchless Big Sky Conference. Nevertheless, Bolomboy offers strong tools for a No. 52 selection.
