The San Antonio Spurs are prepared to bring aboard yet another international prospect.

European basketball expert David Pick reports that the Spurs are contemplating signing Latvian forward Davis Bertans on a two-year, $4-million deal.

He has a buyout clause worth $650,000 with Spanish powerhouse Laboral Kutxa.

Bertans was selected 42nd overall in the 2011 draft by the Indiana Pacers. His rights were dealt to San Antonio along with Kawhi Leonard in exchange for George Hill.

The 23-year-old Bertans has since grown into a promising stretch forward in the Serbian and Spanish leagues in recent seasons. Bertans combines excellent size (he stands at 6-foot-10) with an accurate 3-point shot (he hit 47.4 percent this season).

He also carries a history of knee injuries. Bertans tore his right ACL in 2013 and again in 2015.
