Moment of silence for Ali to be held before Game 2 of Finals

The NBA plans to honor the life of Muhammad Ali with a moment of silence before Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday night at Oracle Arena in Oakland. The San Jose Sharks did the same Saturday before Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, as have numerous Major League Baseball teams.

Ali died Friday at the age of 74.

Commissioner Adam Silver released a statement after the boxing legend's passing, saying: "(Ali) was an inspirational presence at several major NBA events and was deeply admired by so many throughout the league. While we are deeply saddened by his loss, Muhammad Ali's legacy lives on in every athlete who takes a stand for what he or she believes."
