NBA on TNT sideline reporter - and lifelong Chicago Cubs fan - Craig Sager got to live out a dream Wednesday night at Wrigley Field.

Sager, who is battling cancer, was invited as a special guest of the Cubs and tossed out the ceremonial first pitch. He also sang "Take me out to the ballgame" during the seventh-inning stretch.

"My dad was a huge Cubs fan and they didn't win a World Series in his lifetime, and they haven't won one in my lifetime or in my kids' lifetimes,'' Sager told David Haugh of the Chicago Tribune. "Hopefully this is the year.''

The 64-year-old has continued to work NBA games despite undergoing clinical trials for leukemia in Texas and has vowed to beat the disease.

"You represent everybody who has had some type of a cancer," Sager said. "I feel like I'm staying strong for all those people, not just me.''
