Report: Raptors assistant's pregame jokes angered Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers were all business before, during, and after their Game 5 thrashing of the Toronto Raptors.

That laser-sharp focus locked into place during pregame warmups. Raptors assistant coach Jamaal Magloire, a jovial figure, cracked jokes but the Cavaliers weren't having it.

During pregame individual shooting, Jamaal Magloire, Raptors assistant coach/team consultant, started cracking jokes in the direction of the Cavaliers about hitting below the belt. It was supposedly intended as a lighthearted shot at Dahntay Jones' low-blow punch of Bismack Biyombo at the end of Game 3.

However, a few members of the Cavaliers didn't find him to be funny at all. It was viewed by a few who witnessed it as the retired player trying to fill the void of being the Raptors' enforcer from behind the bench.

The 38-year-old Magloire is frequently heard during games serving as a veteran voice for a young Raptors roster. But perhaps when he touched on Dahntay Jones' dirty punch - which landed him a one-game suspension - things turned from lighthearted to serious.

The Cavaliers proceeded to wallop the Raptors by a score of 116-78 to take a decisive victory in Game 5. They led by 40 for much of the second half - no joke.
