Curry: Elbow uncomfortable but not painful
With three days off between Games 2 and 3 of the Western Conference finals, there's been extra time to ask Stephen Curry about his right elbow.
No problem, the two-time NBA MVP says.
"Oh, it's fine," Curry said Friday, according to ESPN's Ethan Sherwood Strauss. "Swelling went down, so no worries."
Curry banged the elbow when crashing into the first three rows of fans during Game 2 against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday. Later in the contest his arm sported a ball-like protrusion - commonly known as a bursa sac - and he was seen after the Golden State Warriors' 118-91 win wearing a protective sleeve.
He wore a shooting sleeve on the arm at Friday's practice, but stressed there isn't really any pain.
"It's sore, just because of the impact, but the spot it's at doesn't affect the range of motion, so I can shoot and dribble and do all I need to do," Curry said. "It's uncomfortable, but it's not necessarily painful."
In between the time Curry sailed into the stands chasing a loose ball and the time the bursa sac became visible, he scored 15 points in a two-minute period in the third quarter.
"I'm doing all right, nothing to really worry about," Curry said. "It's nice to have three days in between to get your body right."
Game 3 goes Sunday night in Oklahoma City with the series tied at a game apiece.
