A rematch between Steph Curry and LeBron James may appear to be a dream matchup on paper, but three straight blowouts has seen ratings plummet from last year's championship series.
Through four games, the Finals is averaging 17.3 million viewers. Last year's finals, which also featured the Warriors and Cavaliers, averaged 19.9 million viewers over the six-game series.
The high margin of victory is the likely cause for the decline in ratings, as viewership has been down after a strong start to the series. Game 4 saw the closest score to date, but even it ended in a double-digit win.
Game 5 tips off Monday night at Oracle Arena, where the Cavaliers will attempt to prevent the Warriors from collecting their second straight title.
