Strange things happen in San Antonio when Dion Waiters inbounds the ball for the Oklahoma City Thunder. With 9.3 seconds left in Tuesday's Game 5 against the Spurs, Waiters got it to Russell Westbrook, who drove right through a blatant fouling attempt by Kawhi Leonard that went uncalled.
Instead, Westbrook got the basket and drew contact from LaMarcus Aldridge. The and-1 put the game away for the Thunder, who take 3-2 series lead with the 95-91 win, and get a chance to wrap the series up at home on Thursday.
"I keep going until the whislte blows," Westbrook told Craig Sager on TNT. "My job is to stay in attack mode and they didn't blow the whistle."
