The San Antonio Spurs' inevitable march to the Western Conference semifinals was temporarily delayed on Sunday, and it had nothing to do with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Game 4 was brought to a halt early in the second quarter due to a power surge in downtown Memphis that caused an outage at the FedExForum.
With 10:03 remaining in the opening half, the lights went out in the arena while Tony Parker brought the ball up the court, resulting in an 18-minute delay. According to ESPN's broadcast, a county-wide voltage drop caused a flicker throughout downtown Memphis.
The Spurs eventually cruised to a 116-95 victory to complete the four-game sweep.
