Dallas Mavericks point guard Deron Williams will likely miss the remainder of the season after aggravating an abdominal strain and sports hernia in Game 4 Saturday.

Williams lasted just 90 seconds, exiting the game early in the first quarter after suffering the injury. Dallas went on to lose 119-108 to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

"I think he's done for the year," coach Rick Carlisle said following the game. "That's what I think. I don't expect him to play in Game 5."

The 31-year-old had been a pleasant surprise for the Mavericks this season, averaging 14.1 points and 5.8 assists on 41.4 percent shooting - a significant improvement over his 2014-15 campaign with the Brooklyn Nets.

With Williams out, backup J.J. Barea will likely move back into the starting lineup. While Barea played well with limited minutes in the regular season, he has struggled mightily in the playoffs, averaging 5.7 point and 5.3 assists on 25.9 percent shooting.
