Mike Dunleavy will sit out Wednesday's season finale due to back soreness, Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago reports.

Dunleavy will sit out Wednesday's season finale against the 76ers due to back stiffness, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

With the Bulls out of playoff contention, there's no reason for Dunleavy, who underwent back surgery in September, to play through any lingering discomfort. As a result, he'll join a number of other Bulls in street clothes Wednesday, paving the way for Doug McDermott to see some more minutes at small forward. The 35-year-old will conclude the season with averages of 7.2 points (on 41% shooting), 2.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.3 three-pointers over 22.7 minutes in his 31 appearances.
