Kyle Busch: Crash and DNF at Gateway

Busch crashed and finished 35th in the Enjoy Illinois 300 NASCAR Cup Series race at World Wide Technology Raceway Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

Busch would be battling with Kyle Larson among the leaders late in stage 2. The Richard Childress Racing star looked poised to challenge the Top 5, but the heated battle would turn into contact and both drivers would slap into the turn 2 wall. Busch's Chevrolet would get the worst of the damage and have to retire for the day. It would be just his first DNF of the season.
