Sam Mayer: Third at Monster Mile

Mayer finished third in the BetRivers 200 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Dover Motor Speedway Saturday afternoon.

Analysis:

The driver of the No. 1 Chevrolet would come from mid-pack on the starting grid and work his way to the back-end of the Top 10. Mayer would continue gaining track position into stage 3 and finally battle among the leaders. The final overtime restart would see Mayer get a shot at the win, but he'd do well to hold off Sheldon Creed for an impressive third-place finish. It was his third Top-5 finish of the season.
