William Byron: Fast COTA Practice
Byron was fastest in Saturday practice for the Echopark Texas Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas. He turned a fast lap of 77.847 mph.
Analysis:
Speeds were way down as the practice was run in the rain. Several drivers spun out but no major crashes or damage were reported. Byron peddled the No. 24 Chevrolet in these treacherous conditions to the top of the scoring pylon. He beat out Joey Logano for the fastest lap of the challenging road circuit. Byron will be a Top-5 threat in Sunday's Echopark Texas Grand Prix.
