Matt DiBenedetto: Top-10 Finish in Toyota 500k
Despite struggling to find the speed he hoped to have at Darlington Raceway, DiBenedetto came away from two races in four days with two solid finishes, including his second Top-10 finish of the season, a ninth-place effort in Wednesday night's 500-kilometer race at the Lady in Black, woodbrothersracing.com reports.
Analysis:
It was a good weekend of racing for DiBenedetto and the No. 21 Ford team. He grabbed a Top-15 finish in Darlington's opening race and would have good track position to start the second race of the doubleheader. DiBenedetto slid up and down the order Wednesday night, but had surprising speed and was able to pass many cars. By the end of stage 3 he had great track position and set himself up with a Top 10 when rain stopped the action with just 20 laps to go. It was DiBenedetto's second Top-10 finish of the season.
