Spencer Boyd: Wins Wild Talladega Truck Race
Boyd won the Sugarlands Shine 250 Gander Outdoors Truck Series race at Talladega Superspeedway Saturday afternoon.
Analysis:
It what can only be described as a wild finish, Boyd pushed to the front of the field late thanks to a series of accidents and caution flags. He would be in the eye of the storm for the green-white-checkered finish. Johnny Sauter would appear to win the race, but he dipped below the double yellow line as the racing went 4-wide coming to the finish line. Sauter would cross the finish line first, but would be disqualified. Boyd was a near-second at the line, and would be declared the winner at the end after Sauter's infraction. It was Boyd's first-career victory and second Top-5 finish of the season.
