Martin Truex Jr.: Wins Toyota Owners 400
Truex Jr. won the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway Saturday night.
Analysis:
It was one of Truex's best performances in recent memory. He ended an 80-race short track winless drought with this dominant performance. The Joe Gibbs Racing star led 186 laps after he took control in the second-half of the event. Over the closing 40 laps Truex would hold both Clint Bowyer and Joey Logano at bay, and would nip Logano by just 0.178 seconds at the finish line. It was his first win of the season, first win at Richmond and 20th-career victory.
