Ryan Blaney: Fifth at Fontana
Blaney finished fifth in the Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
Blaney started 10th on the grid and raced inside the Top 10 all afternoon at the two-mile California oval. The driver of the No. 12 Ford racked up ninth- and third-place finishes in the first two stages and earned some valuable playoff points. A debris caution late in the race would set up a 31-lap green-flag run to the finish. Blaney would shore up his Top-5 position and finish fifth in the Auto Club 400. It was his second Top-5 finish of the season.
