Ryan Blaney: Fast Phoenix Practice
Blaney was fastest in opening practice for the Ticket Guardian 500 at ISM Raceway Friday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 141.716 mph.
Analysis:
The Penske Racing youngster was the only driver in the field to break the 141 mph mark in Friday's first practice. Blaney was joined by teammate, Brad Keselowski, at the top of the scoring pylon with the second-fastest speed of the session. The driver of the No. 12 Ford needed just 10 laps in this hour-long practice to shake things down. Blaney looks like a good bet for a Top-10 finish in Sunday's Ticket Guardian 500.
