Daniel Hemric: Disappointing Vegas Finish
Hemric finished 23rd in the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
After being one of the faster cars all weekend in practice at Las Vegas, Hemric didn't see that speed translate into the race. He and teammate, Austin Dillon, swept both practice sessions but would soon fall behind in this 400-mile race. Hemric would fall two laps down the leaders by the end of the day and finish a disappointing 23rd-place. The driver of the No. 8 Chevrolet has yet to crack the Top 15 this season, and sits a lowly 29th-place in the championship standings after Las Vegas.
