Daniel Hemric: Runner-up Finish at Kansas Speedway
Hemric finished second in the Kansas Lottery 300 Xfinity Series race at Kansas Speedway Saturday afternoon.
Analysis:
After leading 128 laps and dominating most of the afternoon, it looked like Hemric's first-career win was in store. However, it would not be in the cards for the Richard Childress Racing driver. John Hunter Nemechek would come on strong late and pass Hemric with 30 laps to go. He would fall 5+ seconds behind the No. 42 Chevrolet to finish runner-up at the checkered flag. It was Hemric's 14th Top-5 finish of the season.
