Custer finished second in the Bar Harbor 200 Xfinity Series race at Dover International Speedway Saturday afternoon.
Analysis:
The Stewart Haas Racing youngster was the biggest threat to Christopher Bell Saturday at the Monster Mile. Custer led 38 laps and raced inside the Top 5 all afternoon. He would race hard over the final 17 laps of green flag racing, but fall .525 seconds short of Bell's No. 20 Toyota. It was Custer's 12th Top-5 finish of the season, and he advances into the round of 8 of the Xfinity Series playoffs.
