Ryan Blaney: Seventh-Place at Loudon
Blaney started from fifth position in Sunday afternoon's 301-lap race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Late in the race he had a miscue on pit road with Kurt Busch leading to a long pit stop and losing track position. Blaney recovered and scored a seventh-place finish, his best effort in five starts at New Hampshire, teampenske.com reports.
Analysis:
Blaney had to overcome a lot of contact on the race track, pit road mishaps and scores of other obstacles, but he and the No. 12 team would see it through. The Penske Racing youngster would recover some spots late and score his 10th Top-10 finish of the season. Blaney moves up one spot to ninth in the championship driver standings as a result.
